Fee

Acouples session is about an hour and a half long (80 minutes). The cost is $250 per session. Individual sessions, unless stated otherwise, are the usual 50 minutes. The cost is $150. Methods of payment include check, cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. It is customary to pay at time of service, though monthly billing is an option. Paying at the beginning of each session, rather than the end, is advised as it optimizes the experience by avoiding distraction at an important moment of transition back into the world.

Insurance

As a mental health professional, my services are covered under most medical policies that include out-of-network out-patient psychotherapy. It is your responsibility, however, to pay as we go. I do not bill medical insurance directly. Each month I will provide a invoice with the information needed for your reimbursement. In order to maintain my clinical independence and your confidentiality, I have chosen not to be affiliated with any managed health organizaion.

Scheduling & Cancelations

I am available Monday through Thursday from noon to nine p.m, and Friday until four p.m. It is best to schedule appointments as far ahead into the calendar as possible to ensure your spot, especially if you require evenings. From early Fall through Spring there is usually a waiting list. Weekly sessions are most effective but, after a burst of initial work, meeting on alternate weeks, or even monthly, is not uncommon.

There is no charge for a session that can be rescheduled within the same week. There is no charge for a session cancelled at least three days in advance. Otherwise, the full charge will be applied. For couples, If one partner cannot attend a meeting, the other can come alone. Individual sessions in the context of marriage is still relationship therapy, and is often very helpful.
Telephone sessions and video conferencing are options, as well. I work with couples in many parts of the world.

Twelve Sessions

Turning your relationship around can be done with relative speed. However, there is a comprehensive body of knowledge and a level of skill that must be learned and practiced. This requires at least twelve sessions.
